#33: Sleep Became a Tactical Skill
With no set beds and no consistent roof, sleep became a puzzle Karl had to solve again and again. He studied the terrain like a soldier: where to lay his head, which way to point his tent, how to stay warm without lighting a fire that might attract attention.
